Join one of the UK's largest healthcare infrastructure programmes

Gleeds is seeking an ambitious Project Planner to join our expanding Project Planning & Controls team in Liverpool.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work on the delivery of the new Leighton Hospital, a c.£1.3bn programme that will transform healthcare provision in Cheshire. Supporting our Lead Planner and Project Delivery Team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and analysing the integrated master schedule that underpins the successful delivery of this landmark project.

Working across multiple programme workstreams—including Construction, Design, Digital, Equipping and Finance—you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the programme remains robust, accurate and supports informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support the development and maintenance of the integrated programme master schedule.
    • Engage with the main works contractor, design consultants, project managers, NHS Trust representatives and other stakeholders to gather progress information and maintain programme integrity.
    • Identify schedule risks, opportunities and critical path impacts, providing timely analysis and recommendations.
    • Produce programme updates, reports and planning outputs to support project governance and decision-making.
    • Monitor programme performance and communicate key trends to the wider project team.
    • Contribute to programme assurance activities and continuous improvement of planning processes.
    • Undertake regular visits to the Leighton Hospital project site to validate progress, build stakeholder relationships and support programme delivery.

    • Structured career development and mentoring.
    • Support towards professional development and chartership.
    • Opportunities to work on nationally significant projects across multiple sectors.
