  • About this opportunity

    Gleeds Ukraine is seeking a positive and open-minded Electrical and Low Voltage Works Specialist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to gain local and international experience while building a rewarding career in construction.
     
    We are currently not able to provide reservations from the military conscription but we continue to seek to obtain this.

     

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Contributing to projects from concept and design through to implementation, commissioning, and handover.
    • Identifying and understanding customer requirements.
    • Interpreting technical drawings and design specifications.
    • Researching solutions and estimating timescales and costs.
    • Liaising with team members, contractors, and clients.
    • Attending on-site meetings.
    • Preparing project technical briefs, deliver presentations, and write reports.
    • Supervising teams performing electrical and low voltage work services.
    • Ensuring compliance of work with contract scope, identifying and reporting additional work.
    • Developing investment guidelines for electrical works for investors, designers, consultants, and contractors (Project Brief).
    • Managing work, cost engineering, and value engineering for electrical projects.
    • Identifying critical investment elements in electrical installation work, managing activities to mitigate risks.
    • Overseeing tendering procedures for selecting consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project participants related to electrical installations.
    • Coordinating and managing electrical aspects, including design, financial, contractual, quality, health, and safety issues, preparing regular reports for investors and funding institutions.
    • Managing the completion phase of construction investments in electrical installations, including receipt of works, troubleshooting, and evaluation of completed works.
    • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

  • Who we’re looking for:

    Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

    • Experience and knowledge in: Electrical systems (high voltage, medium voltage utilities). - Low voltage systems (including computer networks, BMS, etc.). - Fire safety systems (optional, but advantageous). - Earthing and lightning protection systems. - Other power-related systems (e.g., trace heating systems).
    • Knowledge of pricing and budgeting for the above systems.
    • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
    • Fluency in Ukrainian and English (both written and spoken).
    • Eligible to work in Ukraine
    Qualifications
    • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
