  • About this opportunity

    Contract Manager responsible for overseeing the contractual aspects of a hyperscale data centre construction project, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, mitigating risks, and supporting project delivery.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
    • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
    • Acting as the owner’s representative for a data centre campus and associated infrastructure and utility works, leading contract administration activities.
    • Managing the full contract lifecycle, including timely notification of extensions and procurement requirements.
    • Managing the sourcing and procurement of general contractors, architects, engineers, commissioning agents, and other professional services as required.
    • Coordinating supply chain activities across all stages of a project, from planning through to delivery, execution and close-out.
    • Working closely with the client and other stakeholders to monitor progress and align activities.
    • Providing regular updates to the client on procurement and contract status, issues and concerns, including daily escalation reporting.
    • Attending all regular team meetings and weekly change triage meetings to provide contractual advice on potential change orders.
    • Preparing change order documentation in line with supplier agreements and tracking execution through to completion.
    • Managing the close-out of provisional change orders and claims in collaboration with the project team.
    • Drafting formal contractual notices and tracking contractual milestones to ensure alignment with the project programme.
    • Ensuring correct use of contract management tools and forms.
    • Supporting project handover and the execution of the handover certificates.
    • Overseeing final account and contract close-out for all project awards.
    • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

  • Who we’re looking for:

    Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

    • 10+ years’ experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
    • Proven experience supporting large-scale construction programmes and projects.
    • Strong understanding of project and programme management principles.
    • Knowledge of national and international construction industry standards and practices.
    • Direct experience in data centre construction is an advantage.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
    • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work at the project site office 2–3 days per week.
    • High level of English.
    • Right to work in Europe. Experience in Denmark is desirable.
