Lead day to day facilities management and
hospitality services for Gleeds London office, ensuring safe, compliant and
reliable operation of the workplace and hospitality facilities, strong supplier
performance, effective landlord liaison and a high standard of workplace
presentation and service
Responsibilities
- Lead the premises and hospitality teams and associated services
- Manage all aspects of the hospitality operation ensuring that costs, quality, quantity and timing of all service provision is within agreed standards and within budget
- Set and maintain professional and technical standards for the hospitality team ensuring all statutory food safety requirements are met
- Develop, implement and manage all operational procedures and policies for the hospitality service
- Ensure that inspections, records, monitoring taken place and where required take action to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Handling and Hygiene regulations
- Responsible for the implementation of Food Safety and all Health & Safety legislation as laid out in Gleeds Health & Safety Manual (COSHH, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments in the selection, use and recovery of cleaning chemicals and manual handling)
- Support any external environmental health food safety inspections of the hospitality service areas. Oversee and take the appropriate actions to ensure that high food safety standards are maintained, (complying with Health and Safety and Food Safety Act 1990 and subsequent food safety legislation is maintained. Report any potential breaches and issues immediately and provide solutions to mitigate
- Manage hospitality and facilities budget in line with levels of authority
- Ensure the basement events suite operates safely, legally and efficiently with appropriate controls for food safety, licencing (if applicable), event security and equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with any operating or maintenance obligations contained in the lease and act as the liaison with the landlord and other building occupiers to ensure integrated and risk aware building operations
- Official point of contact for external agencies such as EHO or HSE
- Utilities and rates management
- Designated Safety Coordinator ensuring robust implementation of the UK H&S requirements
- Responsible for the business continuity plan
- Promote and deliver sustainable workplace operations aligned with Gleeds’ ESG objectives
- Manage energy, waste and environment performance in accordance with applicable UK and London specific policies
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
