  • About The Role

    The MEP Construction Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all electromechanical construction activities on site, ensuring project delivery is achieved on schedule, in full compliance with approved specifications, and in line with established quality and safety standards. The role requires coordination and close follow-up with the Contractor, Design Consultants and the wider team of project management.
    The successful candidate for this vacancy will preferably show extensive hands-on experience in installations on ground and previous experience with relevant engineering work. It is preferrable as well to have solid experience with hospitality and/or commercial projects. 
     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage all electromechanical construction activities across assigned projects.
    Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electromechanical systems.
    Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure compliance.
    Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
    Follow up relevant engineering issues with parties at site and coordinate prompt resolutions to serve project’s programme.
    Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
    Ensure all works are carried out in line with quality standards and project requirements.
    Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
    Understanding and advice on of method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
    Support and follow up procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor selection.
    Oversee testing and commissioning processes and ensure proper handover documentation
  • Qualifications & Experience:
      • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
      • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrotechnical construction, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
      • Strong experience in large-scale construction projects (hospitality, commercial, or residential).
      • Solid knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and standards.
      • Plus: knowledge and experience in contract administration and / or project management.
      • Strong leadership and team management skills.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
      • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
      • High attention to detail and quality standards.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
      • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools.
