OFCI Project Manager (Mechanical bias) (F/H)

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and business procedures.
• Building a network of vendors, contractors and consultants.
• Participating in development and implementation of procurement and delivery strategy for the mechanical deliverable.
• Ensuring the quality and compliance of the mechanical package design, procurement, installation, and commissioning, in accordance with the project specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Working closely with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and installation of project-critical plant and equipment.
• Undertaking a full design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules for accuracy and completeness of design.
• Monitoring and controlling the progress of procurement, delivery, and commissioning on-site.
• Taking regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress, report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion.
• Monitoring on- and off-site works, recording and reporting non-conforming work and driving the team for follow-up, preventative and close-out actions.
• Ensuring that mechanical installation is fully coordinated and optimised to eliminate wasteful activity on site.
• Preparing and monitoring technical submissions.
• Assisting in the change management process, the review and assessment of proposed variations in the works and of any actual or anticipated delays to the progress of the works.
• Working with the appointed general contractor to ensure that appropriate method statements are in place and signed off by the relevant parties in advance of installation.
• Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Proven experience in large-scale construction projects.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment and engineering specifications relating to Data Centres.
• Knowledge of industry standards.
• Experience in vendors' QA/QC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
• Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Fluency in English and French. 
• Eligible to work in France.
