  • About this opportunity

    Project Manager (AMO) responsible for managing client relationships and coordinating construction and installation activities on a data centre project.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
    • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements and business procedures.
    • Ensuring the quality and compliance of construction and installation works in accordance with the project specifications, budget, and schedule.
    • Facilitating clear and effective communication between all parties, including general contractors, the client, and the Gleeds project team, to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
    • Working closely with vendors and contractors to ensure on-time delivery and installation of project-critical equipment.
    • Monitoring and controlling the progress of construction and installation on-site.
    • Taking regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress, reporting and tracking any corrective actions through to timely completion.
    • Monitoring on- and off-site works, recording and reporting non-conforming work, and driving the team for follow-up, preventative, and close-out actions.
    • Ensuring that construction and installation activities are fully coordinated and optimised to eliminate wasteful activity on site.
    • Preparing and monitoring technical submissions.
    • Assisting in the change management process, including the review and assessment of proposed variations and any actual or anticipated delays.
    • Working with the appointed general contractor to ensure that appropriate method statements are in place and signed off by the relevant parties in advance of installation.
    • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

  • Who we’re looking for:

    Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

    • 3+ years postgraduate experience in large-scale construction projects, ideally owner-representative (AMO) side.
    • Knowledge of technical requirements applied to the construction sector.
    • Detailed knowledge of project management techniques.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
    • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Professional level of English and French. 
    • Right to work in France.

    Qualifications

    • Architecture or Engineering degree or technical education in the construction-related field
